Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a programming concept that generally refers to the ability of machines and digital systems to perform tasks in a manner similar to that of humans. In other words, the ability to “think” is defined by the speed of data analysis and the programming of algorithms.
Within this process, there are two types of learning: machine learning and deep learning . It represents the ability to create algorithms so that these machines can interpret data and learn, from this interpretation, to use the learning to solve some problems and tasks, acting in a way very close to how humans act.
Deep learning, on the other hand, is an advancement in machine learning, as this technology simulates neural networks in a process similar to human intelligence. In this format, the system is able to hierarchize and understand information in a more complex and in-depth way. With it, AI is able to learn without the need for so much human interference and recognize images and speech more assertively.
What are the types of Artificial Intelligence?
There are three types of artificial intelligence:
Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI);
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI);
Artificial Superintelligence (ASI).
Furthermore, they are divided into two groups:
Weak AI;
Strong AI.
In the Weak AI group is Narrow Artificial linkedin data Intelligence (ANI) , also known as Limited. This type of AI refers to systems trained to perform a single specific task. For example: piloting a vehicle, searching the Internet, playing chess, virtual assistants (Siri and Alexa), among others.
It uses machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing to improve itself, but it does not have the same performance or versatility as the human brain.
In the Strong AI group, there is Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Superintelligence (ASI).
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) focuses on simulating human intelligence, performing tasks that are performed by a person, with the ability to solve several different tasks, make decisions, solve problems and plan for the future. It is possible to acquire knowledge from experiences and understand direct and indirect stimuli, for example, the difference between a happy or sad face.
Therefore, AGI surpasses human capacity, as it will be able to access and process a large volume of data at superhuman speed. To do this, it would have the following abilities:
Abstract thinking;
Knowledge of the context;
Logical reasoning;
Cause and effect reasoning;
Transfer learning;
Sensory perception;
Fine motor skills;
Natural language understanding.
Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) aims to surpass the intelligence capacity of the human brain, demonstrating superhuman intellectual powers in practically every area of knowledge, including science, creativity and social skills.
ASI is a technology still under development in the scientific world and, with it, it would be possible to solve complex and humanly impossible calculations.
